About Me

Welcome, my name is Joe Duerr and this “about me” is really about this site. I would refer you to my Personal Testimony for a better idea of who I am. The Narrow Road is a devotional blog and education site dedicated to furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Developed in 2017, I strive to share the truth of God’s Word and equip His followers with tools for spiritual growth in today’s world. This includes information for readers to defend their faith with Christian apologetics, as well as resources that liberate individuals from the bondage of sexual immorality.

Mission and Purpose

The mission of The Narrow Road is to provide an environment where people can learn about faith, identity, relationships, purpose, and personal transformation. My vision is that everyone would come to know and experience true freedom through Jesus Christ—transforming lives through love and humility. And finally, my prayer is that by reading this blog, some individual becomes more curious about Christ enough to investigate Christianity further. Perhaps a small crack is opened and the Holy Spirit is invited in to begin His work of redemption.

It’s All About Jesus

Most of us will likely never know how many people we have turned towards Christ. Yes, we may have family and friends who have accepted the free gift of salvation due in part to our testimony, but we overlook the others who may become Christians because of the influence of these people in turn on their lives. The snowball potential can be staggering. I say this not to invoke a boasting heart, but rather to remind everyone that we simply never know the complete impact we have on our evangelical efforts, both intentional and just by walking daily in the light of Jesus Christ.

This should inspire us to seek out the lost even more. For if we can even point one person in the direction of Christ, we may ultimately have a small part in bringing salvation to an entire family line for generations. I say small part because only the Holy Spirit brings the conviction necessary to save a soul.

And therefore the purpose of this site is just that. If only one individual on this planet takes what I have written here and chooses to explore a further relationship with Christ, then it is all worth it. After all, it is really not about me.

God is Good

This website is a product of a life renewed by the grace of God. He has blessed me in so many ways and has enabled me to share my thoughts from my own personal study with others through vehicles such as this blog.

As for myself, I am a simple man, blessed with a beautiful wife, Joy, and daughters Katelyn and Hannah. Read my personal testimony for more information about me.
