The entire Christian faith rests upon the claims of Jesus of Nazareth, a verifiable historical figure, that he was crucified, died, buried, and rose again and therefore substantiated the claims that he was and is the Living Son of God. If this is not true, then our faith is in vain (1 Corinthians 15:14). This video provides insight into what He endured during the scourging and crucifixion.
My prayer is that none of us take for granted this sacrifice. Take time to visualize the absolute agony he endured for all of us and that when we get to this Easter Sunday, we truly understand how much He loves us and that John 3:16 becomes so much more than a collection of a few words we have memorized since our youth.
